sa time ni Jack Nicholson, nindot na to iyang pagka portray as joker. box office sad to. since it was 1st batman movie, gi focus si batman unlike sa dark knight nga ang gi focus nga character c joker since humana man ug focus c batman sa batman begins.

Nicholson's Joker was mainly based on the TV series Joker that was portrayed by the late Ceasar Romero or should I say the Tim Burton's version of the first Batman movie was based on the TV series - only made darker.

Heath Ledger based his uber dark portrayal of the Joker after reading the graphic novelette The Killing Joke that tells of the origins of the Joker in the DC universe. How he ever created his own interpretation he carried it to the grave

Cant compare both 'cause each had unique basis of their interpretations. It just like comparing green apples to red apples...... both are apples but each has it own attribute.....
