i don't know if this is the right forum but my question is for doctors, healthcare professionals or children of doctors:
do your friends or co-workers subtly ask for free medical consultation while you're out for lunch, shopping, in a party or simply hanging out? kanang simplehan nga pangutana or dili gani, lantaran na jud?
yesterday, my friend and i were out shopping and when we were in the women's restroom, she asked "[name], my eyes are slightly yellow...what does that mean?" ok lang ka kung panagsa ra pero murag every time we meet naa man jud pangutana eh. more so now, that i've graduated from nursing school like, "my in-law has been having these frequent headaches...what do u think is going on?" and if i can't answer their problems, mu-ingon dayon "can you please text your parents"? (because they're retired doctors) and that has been going on for as long as i can remember.
in my previous work, officemates from other departments would drop by my cubicle and describe their daughter's illness. so when i reply that i'm not a doctor...ang itubag kay "siyaro, sige gud mo magkita og magkuyog naa jud kay makat-on ana"
i did not know that one can inherit a medical degree.
kamo, what do you say or do in these scenarios?
