Why did Reagan pick Bush for Vice President of the United States? Here is the story.
Ronald Reagan asked his wife, Nancy how he should make a choice. Nancy gave him a riddle to use as a test, saying that if one of the contenders is able to answer it, then he should have the job.
Reagan asks Bush, "Who is it who is your father's son, but not your brother?"
Bush replies,"Golly gee, Mr. Reagan, That's difficult. I'll need to go and think about that for a while."
That evening Bush returns and happily shouts,"I got it, Ron! I figured it out! It's me! It's me!"
Reagan then presents the same riddle to the other hopeful.
"Thats tough one Mr. Reagan. I'll get back to you on that.''
That evening he returns and say's,"Try as I might, I just couldn't figure that one out. Who is it?"
Reagan answer,"It's George Bush, but I'm not exactly sure why."
