LAMP stands for Linux, Apache Web Server, MySQL, and PHP. It's a target environment or a combination of technologies for development not a software like XAMPP or WAMP.

Asay mas maayo XAMPP or WAMP? hmm... Medyo pareha ra gyud na sila bro. XAMPP installs Perl thus the extra P. They're both very easy to install. But I found WAMP a littlbe bit more simple to use.

Ani na lang, whether you need or don't need Perl, let that be your factor for deciding w/c one to use.
