PS3 80010514 problem

taga-davao po ako na owner ng ps3 at bago ko lang na-encounter ang 80010514 error. from checking sources from all over the web it seems that it's a laser problem. pero nakakabasa parin ang ps3 ko ng mga games ko,yun nga lang,magcrash ang system in the middle of playing. i'm wondering if this is of the same severity as the other people who found this error and their ps3s stopped playing BDs altogether. And if it is,since na kapoy magrequest pa ng replacement or magpadala nito kung saan-saan,I'd like to ask if anybody knows kung saan ako makapaayos nito sa Davao. Preferably, I'd like to have it fixed without messing up my warranty. any help will be greatly appreciated. salamat sa inyong tanan.

this is a good heads up for ps3 owners..then I googled the error..and man,wow! now beginning to worry..though my machine works fine..for now.

Going by what i am seeing on a Google search that error seems to stem from using a firmware update not made for the system it's installed on (using the North American file on a Japanese PS3 as an example). If this is the case running the system update from where your console originated should possibly fix things. You would have to download it on your computer and transfer over using a memory card or USB drive.

Bro, that error means your blue ray drive is broken and it needs to be replaced. It's a harware failure but try to have it check sa Ayala coz I heard someone here in Istorya experienced the same problem as yours and have his laser lens replaced.
