watch divx or listen to mp3 files in your ps2 using flashdisk

tested in (modchip) ps2 slim. ps2 phat works but uses another process.
this is perfect for downloaded movies sa internet most of which are in divx format.(.avi)
the video quality is very high, has subtitle (.srt) support. basic video player functions including fast forward, rewind, pause, stop, play, volume, brightness, a-b, and if you accidentally go back to the sms player menu while watching a movie, it asks u if you want to watch the video where you last left.

* make sure formatted ang usb flashdisk using fat32 format


1. Download ulaunch elf and burn on a cd. if possible, use poweriso or magiciso for burning. apparently, naay issues using nero. (very small filesize but extracts to 700 mb) hahaha

2. download sms player (very small filesize)

3. copy the sms player ".elf" file and your divx or mp3 or a combination of divx and mp3 files on your usb pendrive/flashdisk.

4. insert ulaunchelf cd and usb flashdisk in your ps2.

5 navigate to your usb using the file explorer in ulaunchelf. it is labeled "mass". press circle, not cross to navigate forward.

6. open the sms player (.elf) file in the usb directory. make sure you have a memory card inserted.

7. press start button and enable automatic usb detection when sms player is launched.

8. by default, sms player accesses the cd first. press the right (-->) button to access your usb. open the file you want to play using the cross button.

9. enjoy!

* if youre using a 2gb and up flashdisk, there are instances where the ps2 cannot read the usb device the first try. but after a few tries it does. i believe this is because of the usb driver used. in the latest version, this rarely happens.
