Linksys WRH54G Wireless Router Problem

i just bought the WRH54G linksys wireless-G home router. I put the cd rom in and i followed every step and i have everything in the right place but when it is at step 9 when u have to choose between DHCP, PPPoE, or Static Ip i dont know which one to choose so i go with DHCP then step 10 after i put in the passwords and click next and it is checking internet connection it says the router is not able to connect to the internet. try turning cable/dsl modem off and back on again. do you want to try again?. that is where i get stuck and i have tried to turn it off and back on again and i doesnt work. can anyone help me out?

I dont have any problem with internet connection with my broadband kay gi try nko disconnect and router ok man. i tried accessing the 192.168.1.1 pro and tried running the setup wizard, successful man daw, kaso, stil the network indicates local only. any solution please?

try daw reset imo router...
-nya never mind the cd
-e-connect ang broadband sa imo router
-sulod sa 192.168.1.1
-select DHCP save changes
-try daw
-nya e ping dayon
-sa command prompt kng nana bah connection..

gtry na bya nko access sa 192.168.1.1, bro..it wud stil indicate local only..if tan-awn sa network status icon(vista), walay internet na symbol..try nko bsan ma crossd-over na cable ug dili mao ra ghapon..ma detect ang network but la lang internet...if ibalik nako ang modem ra na prolink huricane 5200, kanang sa globe gkan, naa man internet..

i tried some research, naay ni suggest na i change and LAN IP sa linksys router to 192.168.2.1
where man ni nko ma edit?...

actually bro, murag nataghapan rajud nko 2...pero akong basis is after ng gamit ko sa quick install na cd, la pa ni work but..il jot down the "as-found" data when you run CMD ba then type ipconfig/all, i took note of every data para makita nko difference after re configuring the router. then ni adto ko sa link sa router(connected na tanan ha...DSL>Modem>Wireless Router>PC), linksys(ni type ko ug 192.168.1.1..i just set it to DHCP or auto..unsa to then, la nko gi try nko clone iya Mac Address..then later on, ni nka indicate ra ako network monitoring na icon ug internet..so i guess it was a big thing ang i enable ang DHCP setting niya..ayaw i manual kay if gamit ka DHCP mo auto-configure raman cya..just wait for few minutes for your pc or notebook to somehow detect new configs everytime mg experiment mo mga bro..

try to buy linksys wireless G-router model WRT54G2 la nay antenna..slim pa..gi mount ra nko sa wall..paspas cya..

ang problema lng bro kay i think i need to reformat my notebook kay expired na ako nod32 na antivirus, bcn ma sudlan na nya ni virus..duha2 ko reformat kay bcn mgka problema nasad ko aning karahong router..gamit raba kau internet..hehe
