    Default Christmas is pagan

Christmas is a blasphemy to Christ, and no Christian with a pure conscience should have anything to do with it. As the book, The Two Babylons, proves, Christmas originated from European paganism. Centuries before the Christian era, on December 25 the European pagans celebrated the birthday of the sun. When Constantine embraced Christianity, he encouraged the Roman citizens to become Christians, and he even rewarded many thousands for being baptized. Thousands who knew nothing of Christ were baptized and came into Christendom, bringing their pagan customs with them. Later, the name of Christ was attached to the birth of the sun god celebrated on December 25. In principle, the celebration of Easter is the same. Although some Christians in Orange County condemn us as heretical, they themselves still practice the pagan festival of Christmas. To be sure, during the three and a half years of the great tribulation all Christians will abandon such things as Christmas, Easter, the worship of Mary, and all paganism.

unta masabtan nato ang tanan. dako ug mawala kung magtoo to-o ta .

OT: guys i dont know the etymology of "XMAS" but for me pls. stop using the word CHRISTMAS as XMAS, maybe some are using it to shortcut the word and some maybe symbolize X = cross?? pero para nako murag imo gi cancel si christ sa word by using X.

    sakto ba?

as to Christmas is pagan i think the point of christmas is not the date but the celebration itself, to be united with family. and murag mao rana ang time nga mag PEACE ang mga TAO. even for awhile.

Well, if we are too very legalistic here, our months January to December were all from pagan origin and we are all using this anyway.

My point here is if I do have a conviction about a certain matters, I don't have the right to push it to others, I must respect their belief.

Anyway, in Christmas season, this is an opportunity for us to show love to others, and let us be excited in doing good.

I think it's not bad to celebrate Christmas as long as you're doing it for his glory.

It's just the same with our BIRTHDAY which has a pagan origin yet we continually celebrate it to thank God for his goodness.

If it is sinful to celebrate Christmas (due to its pagan origin) then it follows that we're also sinning when we participate in any pagan celebrations like BIRTHDAY, FATHER'S DAY, MOTHER'S DAY, DEATH ANNIVERSARY etc.

Yes, this would be the consequence if we force our fanatic ideas.

But thanks to God he freed us from this fanatism.

Let me share to you a quote from IBS:

Others object to celebrating Christmas as the birth of Christ due to the fact that we cannot be certain that this was the date of the Lord's birth, and in fact, probably was not the exact date of his birth even though December 25th is a very old Christian tradition for the date:

Luke 2:8 says that "there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over there flock by night." This suggests that the time was possibly mid-fall, or early spring, not December, because shepherds would normally not be in the fields so late in the year, but the evidence is not conclusive even in this regards.

The fact that we cannot be absolutely certain as to the date of Christ's birth does not negate the possibility of celebrating His birth. The date Jesus was born is not the center of the Christmas holiday, but rather His birth itself.

...still a marketing strategy. the pope chose that date not because they knew JC's birthday (they were clueless as usual)....he was trying to make it as painless as possible for the pagans to convert to christianity. coz almost all pagan sects had their gods birthday on that day.hahaha

now it pretty much looks like JC stole their thunder.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS anyway(that goes to JC, yule, saturn, and some sun god's son, etc.)

    hahaha
