My OCD is checking that if a door is closed when I know that it's closed and sometimes I go back to check 2-3 times.
My friend's OCD is counting numbers on licence plates til he finds one that equals 7.

OCD is just like a chronic anxiety disorder, characterized by recurrent, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and/or repetitive behaviors (compulsions). People who have this may be described as someone who is meticulous or perfectionist on someone or something.

My OCD is checking everything in place. I know my things are moved from where i put them even if they are just an inch away from their sitting place. I also count my steps and is always concerned of mistakenly counting the stairs on the staircase.

OC disorder is a little confusing though. For example, when you itch to arrange your stash of books at home, it's simply a case of some kind of paranoia (I forgot w/c one though, ehe). OC disorder on the other hand, is when you don't even care about intruding into someone's "personal space" to correct something (neatly arranging your partner's utensils during dinner out or neatly arranging shoes in a store).

I agree. I read somewhere that the person who exhibits those signs do not necessarily have OCD, and may instead have obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD) or some other condition.
