Very nice photos. Thanks. A lot of changes since I last visited. I see they have renovated the little plaza. And it looks like a new buidling where the old tennis courts were? Grew up in Minglanilla, so I kinda know the general lay of the land...

yea! it a new plaza na and its renovated na. ang tenis court gi move na sa centyral school. beside the new sports complex. then later ang feild i renovate sad, like the running feild i rubberize later. grabe na ang minglanilla ron.

last sunday they have a cool kabanhawan festival and the said SUGAT 2006. a lot of people witness the event. i gues this is one of the biggest event ever in minglanilla.

talking about beach resort, naa sad daghan nga malingaw ra sad ka sa resort. like PALMBEACH, villa ramelyn, tubod flowing water. you cn also dropby for a jolibee hehe. you cn have groceries sa prince warehouse. no need to go to the city. you'll have it sa minglanilla.

ill be posting more photo's later. by the way are you still residing in minglanilla?

One of the fondest memories I have of growing up in Minglanilla is that of the "Sugat." I don't remember if we stayed up or were awaken, but I remember vividly the throngs of people, the vendors, the "angels," the lighted "Sugat" platform from which the "angels" were suspended, and finally the meeting of the "carros."

Random scenes from the past: dawn jogs to Tungkop, followed by early morning swims at the public beach; halo-halo at one of the halo-halo shops (always had bud-bud with my halo-halo, sugar on the side please); watching the pork rinds/chicharon cooking in its own ghastly fat; and the pedicab rides to the Tungkop beach, with the kaldero of rice and the boiled bananas. I don't live in Minglanilla anymore, but you can tell I sorta, kinda, left my heart in Minglanilla...

not to be disrespectful or anything but the church looks like a little castle or something that came out of a fairy tale book. maybe it's the color and the banners outside. but i actually like it. more power to your town. =)

At one time, the Minglanilla church was noted for its architecture. You should have seen pictures of the "old" church it replaced (at least the way I remember it)...

@micah---I graduated from the other school across the Pakigne river (Lipata). Moved there from Tungha-an.
