Default when should one quit their day job?

hi! question lang. for what reasons should one quit their day job? is it when you're at a point where you're not growing anymore career-wise? or is it something else?

in this time of crisis, should we quit our day job or hang on na lang till things get better?

Well it really depends on how rewarding your other job is. But if your other job is rewarding but at the same time not as secure as your day job, might as well stay at your day job until you can find a new day job.

Many people are looking for jobs to make a living. Guess you are lucky having a job Cherish it while you still can.

If you are really not enjoying anymore, find a new one. A fresh look in environment can help you. But dont quit yet, unless you are sure you have a new job waiting for you.

when you found something better. dont quit yet. thats my advice.
that is if you can afford being jobless. if a new job is waiting for you. why not?

pero if you can afford to be jobless. i guess a good the reason is when you realy really REALLY hate your f*** **g(can i say that?) job and you cant take any more. everyday you have to drag yourself from home just to go to work. and every 6 seconds, all you think is "i really hate my job and i want to quit now!".
    my first worst job experience.

dont tell that to your next potential employer. its really a turn off.
Bad-mouthing your former employer and complaining about the way things were handled are not appropriate in an interview.

Conflict of values - This one is really frustrating. Your long held values came in conflict with the current practice.

Personal ambitions - Your drive and ambitions cannot be met/satisfied by your present employer.

Boredom - others are just bored. Better change your perspective before quitting your job.

Family life - sacrificing family for the job is a bad gamble. Our family is the reason why we work.

Honestly I do not have a job. I have a small business though. If you work for others, youre only getting the company to benefit more from your efforts without actually being compensated sometimes.

As for building your own business no matter how small it will grow eventually. You work like hell to grow your business.. yes its true it tiring but in the long run it gets easier and you get rake in all the cash instead of the company if you remain an employee.

As for me. I built my small business for a mere $50. After two years I could make even more in a month than an employee makes in 3-6 months or even in a year. It is not easy but once you get used to it, its not that hard either.

I did not say this just to brag. I just have the confidence in you guys that whatever you want to achieve in life and put your mind to it and take ACTION, you will achieve your desired goal.

Success is a Choice, your choice always.

I don't recommend quitting your present job then shift to having a small business. Some retirees do this and end up losing every penny they earned.

But if you have this keen business sense, you can do some sidelines and at the same time getting employed. If your successful at this, try expanding. In this way, you no longer need an employer. Most of the successful buisnessmen started at a young age. No degrees/diplomas needed. Just business sense.

hehe... your starting a company and sooner or later your going to hire an employee.
try saying that to your employees... hihi.. peace bro...

its also one of the reasons why i quitted my previous job. My employers just think of how to get their money and not thinking of their employee's future. i really hate those kind of employers.
I would love to work for a company who value and see me as important person for the success of their companies. Dont you agree?

lucky for me today, i found this kind of work! they even make me as one of company co-owner sort of thing...

business is a gamble and a risk i cannot afford to loose. maybe someday if i found a win-win business thing.

as VonX says, i dont have any business sense. or any sense at all... hehehe..
id rather work as an employee and get paid super dooper high salary. and i know i can! i have money but i choose to become an employee.
i dont know, maybe because i want to practice my profession first.
