Which is faster between the two?
now this is a good question..murag nindot ni i-research da hehe. ang akong nahibalan is that mas paspas ang athlon64 2000+ na 1.0ghz kesa sa atom, so possible na mas paspas ang p4 2.4ghz
Benchmarks: Applications - Tom's Hardware : Atom, Athlon, or Nano? Energy-Savers Compared
hm, by fast you mean---? considering the clockspeed and cache advantage, [not taking into consideration the megahertz myth ha] i'd say the pentium 4. murag weak ra man gud ang atom, pang nettop ra jud.
hinay man ang Intel Atom...i'm using one now as my torrent rig...lupigon ra in terms of perceptible speed sa s478 Celeron D 2.56GHz...but in terms of power consumption wala poi makalupig...low power/low speed...
wonder how the atom would do in rendering videos? hmm.. the ASUS N10J has an atom with 9300M GS graphics built in..
kung imong gi mean is magsalida ug mga avi files...ok ra man...but if u are talking about rendering in the animation sense...hehehehe...pila kaha ka adlaw to render a scene...dili ko ka imagine...
@simoko
lets say Windows Movie Maker? or i guess this may be overkill Adobe Premiere?
the best for torrent gyud ni atom gamay ra au power consumption gyud
the atom cannot cope in creating movies. maski siguro movie maker. hinay kaayo.
tried ganina to download a videoclip from my vidcam via firewire(ako ni gibutangan ug 1394card iyang only pci expansion slot) use movie maker to edit...hehehehe...maghulat gyud ka ug pila ka minutes on certain task...am using vista 32bit diay as os...2gb max ram ni ron...
