Though I would consult IMDB for the latest releases, I usually read movie reviews/critiques in IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes after watching the film to avoid being prejudiced. I would then compare my perspective with that of the movie analysts and film connoisseurs.

I admit to having been disappointed by some RT reviews, but I still tend to consult it prior to watching anyways.
