unsa ako kailangan to make proxy server?.. dapat high end ba specs sa pc?.. if mag proxy server ko, pwe d na dli ko mag router, bali ang proxy server maoy himuon para mu dial sa dsl modem?.. applicable ba mag proxy server sa internet cafe?..

no need for high specs. dili man kaau grabe ang load nga gamiton sa imong pc.
mao ni setup sa amoa
dsl---->modem----->proxyserver--->local area network
im using squid on linux.

mao ni amo gamit a opis.
ang PC(proxy server) duha ka LAN card. 1st lan card connek sa Internet and 2nd lan card connek sa local network.

dsl --> modem --> PC Server with Proxy (two Lan Card) --> HUB / Switch
PC with Proxy
1st Lan Card from Modem
2nd Lan Card to Hub /Switch
Computers in the Network must use static ip address, and set the Proxy of the browser to point to the address of the 2nd LAN Card.
Mao ni ako ng setup before over 70+ computers in the network. Plus, I've installed a Software Firewall to block porn/social networking/streaming sites up to the keyword level.
