I work in a hotel and we had a guest who showed me a model of a cruise ship thats going to be built. He asked me to work for him but I didn't take him seriously. I don't wanna stay in hospitality. It would be fun though to work on a cruise ship...it'll kinda be like a holiday that ur getting paid for =). Can u just picture the view? That would be amazing!
try mo apply sa MAGSAYSAY sa ramos.but you have to have at least 1 yr experience on one the famous hotels here in cebu or take up the training in manila.
I have a cousin who works in a crusie ship...ang route sa cruise nila kay US east coast, to Caribbean, south america and UK. Dili kuno lalim magtrabaho ug cruise ship..kapoy kuno kaayo.
i agree with ian, just like any jobs, dili lalim ang magwork sa cruise ships or luxury liner. i have an uncle who worked before as seaman in cargo ships and one time, he reported to Magsaysay Manila office and he overheard two guys talking and both of them were surprised that they belong to the same cruise ship at the same time yet they were not able to see each other onboard. restricted daw ang lihok during and after working hours, dili pasabot nga once off duty na ka, pwede na ka makasuroy tibook barko just like any other guests. kung asa ka nga department na belong, naa ra moy area para ninyo. pero ok ra pod cguro, basin diay naay passengers nga sikat nga Hollywood artists nya ikaw jud mismo maka serve nila during their trip...
Working in a cruise ship is great. Aside from the "free vacation", you get to have tips form customers.
For those who are interested and are willing to udergo formal training, enroll at the University of San Carlos's two-year Certificate in Criuise Line Management program. You get to have your OJT on a cruise line company based in Europe.
This would be cool, don't you think?![]()
i have a friend who worked in cruise liners for a good 2-3 years, and was lucky enough to become the captain's personal attendant in the later part of his "tour". hago gyud kuno, and mingawon gyud ka. contract2x gyud kano, and if you do well in one cruise ship, you usally get better contracts after... kana if dili pa na nimo ma suka ang dagat. he even told me na that the best part of ocean cruises are, you guessed it, the instances that the ship docks; and you go on shore leave. feel nimo na mura sad daw ka ug crew ug mga nuclear sub. wek.
