looking for 3G Signal booster...

hi all,


i just bought a laptop with a smart prepaid modem for internet connection. problem is, i dont have enough signal sa ako room but i do have 3 bars signal sa room sa ako aunt and sa sala. where can i find a 3g signal booster? or where can i buy one?

any other opinion like what options do i have para magka signal ko sa ako room? up and down man gud ang apartment and dili kaau open ako room( it only has 1 window.. ) =(

Here's what I did in our building.

I bought 3G mobile router and installed the SIM of the internet provider, Do some little configuration's in the routers side. Then, i connected the mobile router to the Linksys Wireless Router to broadcast the wireless communication. Now, i can connect anywhere in the building. Just be sure to enable the WEP security and the MAC Filtering to avoid other users to connect to your Access Point.

Thanks for the reply bro! um, can i use my smartbro prepaid modem as an alternative sa Huawei E960 Mobile Gateway Router? i mean, the smartbro modem does have an internet sim.
so, am just gonna plug it sa Linksys Wireless Router WRT54G and place it somewhere nga naa signal sa 3g? What is the network cable use for? sorry am not really techy when it comes to networking an stuff...

how do i configure the linksys router? how much does it cost? dili bana xa too expensive? can i purchase a router which is a little cheap?

how do i enable the WEP security and mac filtering? naa ba manual na pwede sundan ana? xenxa na jud sa daghan questions.....

nakapalit nmn gud pod ko ug smart plug it..i was thinking of buying a wireless antenna instead,. will it work?
is there any suggestion na medyo cheaper? linksys is kinda expensive.. and i guess ok na xa if you are going to use 2 or 3 computers.. kaso am just gonna use it for my laptop,.,.

sulayi daw ug passive antenna lang bro. ikaw ra man kaha ang mogamit.

back to back antenna:
ang usa tua sa atop or somewhere nga kusog ang 3G signal. ang pikas end anha ibutang sa imo room.

wer man ko ngita ana passive antenna bro?? naa pod nagsuggest nga usb extender daw ako gamiton. just discovered it yesterday naa signal sa ako window jud dapit 2-3 bars and was able to get a connection kaso kinanlan pako modikit sa window.. hheeheh faet..
