If history really repeats itself then I say these armies will clash in no time.

My theory is comparing events of 1973 vs 2008.

in 1973

1. Egypt, et. al started the sabber rattling.
2. The US is in trouble by way of its war in Vietnam.
3. US had a very unpopular president albeit being a second termer, Richard Nixon
4. Sears tower in Chicago was finished and officially became the tallest building.
5. The US dollar was devalued by 10%.
6. World Trade Center officially opens.
7. Afghanistan is in political turmoil.
8. Israel is led by its first lady primier, Golda Meir. Her premiership includes the Munich Olympics.
9. The Yum Kippur war started 1 year after the Munich Olympics.

The 2008.
1. Iran is constantly rattling its sabber vs Israel.
2. The US financial market is in big trouble and still in trouble in Iraq.
3. The US has a very unpopular president courtesy of George W. albeit being a second termer.
4. Burj Al Arab is about to be the tallest building.
5. US Dollar is in free fall.
6. World Trade Center II (Freedom Center ?) construction officially started.
7. Afghanistan is still in deep shit.
8. Israel again has its second lady premier, Tsipi Livni.
9. The China olympics was just recently held....

Iran is not yet a full nuclear capable country unlike Israel. All they can do is to intimidate Israel but Israel is not that stupid. They are just watching.
