Dear Istoryans,

naa ko gamay nakat unan sa computer dli na nako ni makaya hehehe..

My machine run in vista 32

akong cousin naay 1000Gb and the other one 500Gb

naay file sa 500Gb iyang e transfer sa 1kGb

ang problema mau ni: If mag copy ko ug 1 or more folder gikan sa 500Gb e paste nako sa 1000Gb dugay kaau sia mag
calculate sa time nga ma past na nia.. den if mag paste na cia.. dli cia mohuman mo hang cia. IMAGE

Did u manage your hdd? Try this ... goto my computer right click, click manage. Under Computer Management (Local), Goto Storage then click Disk Management ( displays all the drives that you installed)
I hope this will help.

ipa-update na iyang vista thru windows update...genuine man kaha na.
preferred update is service pack 1 plus the latest fixes.

try chkdsk..

1. Open the Start Menu.
2. In the white line (Start Search) area, type cmd
3. Right click on cmd (at Top), and click Run as administrator.
4. Click Continue button for UAC if prompted.
5. In the command prompt, type chkdsk d: (or the drive letter for your 500Gb) /f /r then press enter.

vista is supposed to copy/paste faster than xp.. correct me if im wrong.

have him upgrade to SP1 since it addresses a lot of issues regarding copying/cutting/pasting. i have compared transfer speeds and stability from non-sp1 to sp1 and there is a significant increase in sp1. Vista is a pretty good OS. have him update, it might solve the problem.

My advice copy folders individually, but first reformat the drive, I mean the whole drive nga or partition nga imo balhinan basin naa to bad sectors..then copy it all to see if it still has an error.
