    if your dsl modem is usb based you only need one lan card to connect the internet feed comes from your dsl modem usb type and your first computer COMP1 becomes your ICS (Internet Connection Sharing server) to COMP2 or more comps. if your using windows xp just look inside your settings->control panel and look for anything to do with ICS its usually inside the networking icon sorry if i'm too vague since my specialty is linux not windows networking.

    Usually you will need a hub but you can also use a crossover utp cable cat5 to network 2 pc's only.
    The IP address is 192.168.XXX.XXX and your LAN2 should have an IP address of 192.168.0.1 since it will be the gateway for your internal LAN. Also use the same workgroup for all your internal pc's in the LAN.

    Hope this help.

    @hot ice

    since LAN2 AND LAN3 will be your local network you can use the following settings below:

    for lan2:
    IP Address: 192.168.0.1
    subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    default gateway: nothing.

    preferred dns server: you can use the dns of your lan1
    alternate dns serve: you can use the dns of your lan1

    for lan3 (pc 2):
    IP Address: 192.168.0.2
    subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    default gateway: 192.168.0.1

    preferred dns server: you can use the dns of your lan1
    alternate dns serve: you can use the dns of your lan1

    hope this will work....good luck...
