Samsung HDD Warranty?

I have an SP0842N HDD that was bought exactly 1 year ago, and using this link Samsung Warranty Service - Rexo I was able to gleam that my HDD was covered until September 2010, granted its a website for U.K. customers and a Third Party at that, pero this got me doing some bit of researching, and I found out that Samsung offers a 3 year warranty for their new hard drives, including the one I have.

So my question, which store in Cebu actually honors the 3 year warranty on this drives?

I bought this from one of the bigger retailers here in Cebu, and their customer service personnel vehemently told me that Samsung HDD's only has a 1-year warranty.

According to the link and screen cap below, Samsung HDDs do have a 3-year warranty.

Oddly enough on the Samsung Website for the Philippines there's no mention of hard drive warranty.

P.S. There's even a 5-year warranty for some drives, according to this: SAMSUNG's Digital World - HDD Warranty Check

CSp pointed out to me that it was ONLY Seagate that had a 3-year warranty. 1-year ra gyud kuno ang Samsung, yeah I'm also coming to the conclusion that the CSp I talked to was clueless.

Manufacturer warrantys are fulfilled by the manufacturer themselves ... not retail stores. What you need to find out if Samsung has a service center in the Philippines. When you request an RMA, you usually are given an address to ship to whether inside or outside the Philippines.

Hard drives usually have a standard 5 year warranty from the date of manufacture.

Ambot lang kung pwede harddisk.
Basta kato sauna kay pwede mn to laptop.
