Guys im planning to buy a dslr, im a total newbie in photography, just want to experience what it feels like taking photos in a dslr and hopefully improve myself in this field. unsa may ika recommend ninyo? nag search2x ko sa net for a partcular price range, and this what came up...

Nikon D60 - $649.00 ++
Canon 450D - $660.00 ++
Canon 1000D - ??

bai ikaw ra gyud maka tubag aning imong pangutana kay canon and nikon are both good. Canon users will say canon is good and Nikon users will say nikon is good which will bring a much confusion in your part. I suggest you go to a camera store, guniti,hikapa,hapyora,and try to play with its menu if which camera model suits your taste. And also search more sa google sa mga specs sa camera nga imo ganahan. This is the first hardest decision to make kung interested ka sa photography. The second hardest decision is upgrading your lens, and the third is..... naaaaahhh, basta photography wala'y katapusang hardest decision.

yes i agree with you, and im aware that in the end its my personal preference, but i just want to know your opinions. pros and cons of each camera. i havent held a dslr, so your opinions would really matter.

para nko mas nice ang Canon...nindt man ang nikkon pero anha ma problema sa printing labi na if for ads kay ang nikkon naay 17% magenta iyang white kay sa cannon 3-8% lng. kung tan awn ra nimu sa mata2x lng dli jd siya ma claro anha inig print. Pero if ego rka picture2x then ok ra sad Nikkon paliton nimu...hehe

depende sad cguro na sa calibration sa printing equipment oi.

unsang reference nimu ana sir?mangutana ra unta ko k naa man gud ko kaila nagwork sa nikon japan,
and i really dnt think tama imung giingun. im trying to research online asa ka nagkuha atu as reference
cause i think everything has to be calibrated and we often see factors that can affect the prints and usually
point out the camera at fault.

set the example for printer, the HP 8750 has problems with the magenta and ive seen a forum re its problems
and compatibility and basically blaming the camera on the process.(posting the link would be futile since the person who wrote
that apparently has no factual evidence regarding how he ended up with those figures)
i guess what im trying to say is that we have to be mindful of the things we see and learn online unless
it has factual proof from the manufacturer and/or passed quality standards.

so if somehow uve came up of nikon being a 17% magenta on white, compared to the canon 3-8% figures,
what are the test subjects?does this apply to all nikon/canon cameras?
have u also tested the camera's firmware? how about its calibration?
how about the printer software? whats the printer model? does it have any compatibility issues?
most of all both companies have their own, very strict quality assurance and they would have
to adhere to the standards of their company.
