anyone of you who had encountered the counterstrike.exe worm?

dili madala sa combofixe.exe and RRT.exe

not even the avg8 can detect it..

and also download trend micro system cleaner from trendmicro.com>update center>other>sysclean and use the consumer pattern files..

also unsay symptoms?
pop ups?
slow pc?
browser redirect?

when did you get this problem?

browsing thru a website?
downloaded a file?
installed a program?

if its not a virus.. like adware/spyware, trojan, worm.. we can simply go to the location and delete the file in safe mode.. but if it attaches itself to a dll or a file.. we need to remove the attributes of the file.. so that it will not re-occur

same symptoms as the lame lipa virus.
it disable ur RUN function.. disables ur tools.folder options in the explorer

had a buggy " incorrect counterstike cd blah.blah..insert the ...blah.blah. "

i was able to see the components though....it is powered by hidden the mindgames.exe.. but u can not delete it.. and the unhidden counterstrike.exe files. 2 of it.

an autorun.inf that u can not overwrite. no BS .vbs or .dll file..it uses flashdrive .. then infects ur mydocs. ur hdd patition..

combofix.exe cant clean it.. RRT.exe can not give u back ur disabled rights..


so it is a virus.... a pesky one.

i wish i can trace back hu had written the code and give him a can of redhorse..only ill smash it to his face and give him a kick.

if your still able to access the internet then i suggest you try this one
clean all temp files.. run diskclean up and do the following.

1. download trendmicro system cleaner
Trend Micro

2. download the consumer pattern file at the buttom portion of the page. (for virus scan)
Trend Micro Pattern Files

3. download the spyware pattern file.
Spyware Pattern File (Detection and Cleanup) – SSAPIPTN.DA5 Version 6.87

4. unzip all of them onto one folder

5. reboot in safemode

6. run the sysclean.com file

7. it should run a scan while your computer is in safe mode
