I saw it in the news ganina that the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) is very much alarmed regarding today's nurses being abused by hospitals (public & private)...

Kanang uso karon ba nga gitawag nila ug "volunteer"... ok ra man dili sweldo-an ang volunteers kay volunteers gani..hehe Pero ang style sa mga hospitals karon, pabayaron ka para maka-trabaho as a volunteer. Then usually daw if naay mangapply nila as a staff nurse they would just say nga "WALAY BAKANTE" bisan tinud-anay naa. So the result would be mobayad na lang intawn ang applicant aron ma-hire sya as volunteer in order to gain a working experience.

The PNA already has the list of these hospitals nationwide who are practicing this kind of "business" on nurses. But the DOH (Sec. Duque) is strongly denying PNA's statement nga naay public hospital sa Pilipinas nga involved ani.. "Haller!.. Wake up!.. Sa VSMMC pa lang daan..." But he promised to order an investigation on the gov't hospitals that are included in the PNA's list. The Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines will also make their own investigation on their members and will implement necessary sanctions.

at the end of the day I hope their investigation would ensue better welfare to all nurses, employed & unemployed alike.

bitaw...grabe na kaayo sila maka-abuse sa mga nurse...take-advantage kaayo..naay mga hospitals dri sa cebu, (itago nato sa pangalang chong-hua) grabe ka gamay ang sweldo. halos magkamatay na ang mga nurse ug trabaho pero lupig pa sa janitor ang sweldo...sa ubang hospitals pud, walay sweldo ang volunteers! makatarongan ba na?? i hope they do something about this matter...

.. as a way of helping the ballooning of nurses.. kaning mga hospitals manabang pud unta ni sila oi.. d kay magpa-ugat sad ug pangwarta sa mga nurses nga nagpuliki na tawn ug pinangita ug trabaho.. haiz!

.. i've heard a few hospitals doing this.. and mahal pajud kaayo.. considering daw, nay ubang hospitals sa gawas nga d mu-consider sa volunteering experience as hospital experience?? hmmm.. kas nalang jud kaayo ug kwarta..

dili pud baya ni sala entirely sa mga hospital, naa gyud bayay nanobra na ang mga nurses (or walay budget mo-employ ug nurses)

kung i-trace gyud ang ugat aning problemaha, usa ra ang padulngan, ang PAGNEGOSYO SA NURSING na nakapadaghan sa mga nurse (both worthy and unworthy of the title nurse)

i-regulate na lang unta lagi ang nursing course...dili ra enough ang board exam...angay inig padung pa lang ug sulod ug college, i-screen na kung kinsa to angayan mag nurse ug kinsa ang dili
