    hi, just wanna ask, who among the istoryans is using VMsoftware?,,,where can i get it for free?hehe..or download it for free...u know what i mean..tnx

    virtualization? like run an os on the same os you have? microsoft has one and its free. only that your copy has to be legit.

    Yes, M$ Virtual PC is free and works fine. I am using it under Vista...

    There's Parallels (not free), VMWare (not free, at least for Windows systems), and MS Virtual PC 2007 (free). I'm now using Parallels mostly, to test new software before installing it on my main PC.

    The basic VMWare software is free on all platforms. If you are just wanting to run different systems on top of your current one, that is all you need. I believe even certain versions of VMWare ESX have been released free.

    There is also VirtualBox from Sun ... which I personally prefer amongst all the basic virtualization platforms.

    tnx..i got a free version..vmware 6.03..and i'm running kubuntu as a guest on my xp which is of course the host..i'm trying to install mac on this pc..the mod one..it's pretty cool...heheh..

    where can we get free ESX server? coz we are actualy selling it.

    can you give me link where to download virtualbox from sun? if you dont mind. id like to try it also

    MS Virtual PC 2007 is FREE if your M$ Windows is a legit.
