Default HELP K810i and Globe visibility

    Hi,

I'm pretty sure some of you have tried this or a variant of this.

My landlord is in this dilemma. He couldn't find a laptop model that has PCMCIA slot. Phased out na daw according sa mga stores. He's going to buy one because namatay na iyang P3 na laptop.

Our internet is currently Globe Visibility. It uses the Huawei E620 modem which is PCMCIA device. Tauran ra siya ug sim and then connect.

You can actually use the sim card in a phone and you can actually get unlimited internet minus the ability to make calls.

So considering what devices we had, I proposed this solution for him:

    Internet -> Cellphone -> Bluetooth -> Laptop
WE DON'T HAVE A USB CABLE. I left it in Cebu and have been totally reliant on the bluetooth.

Since his phone doesn't support 3G I used my K810i instead so we can take advantage of the highspeed internet.

I installed the sim in my phone and paired the phone with my laptop via bluetooth. I configured DUN on the laptop as well as BT PAN. I can trigger my phone to dial the internet using the laptop.

Here's where my headache starts (the kind where you go bald by pulling the hairs from its roots):
    1) The phone can browse the internet.
    2) The laptop can connect to the phone and tell it to dial

But, I cannot browse the net on my laptop.

has anyone tried to successfully configured this set up before? Even with another SE phone?

Better buy cable for ur SE to ur laptop rather rely on bluetooth... Connectivity may got issues.... Spare some bucks for ur sake... Lol... cables are not too expensive to buy... Rather continue ur scenario...

Try this if you are interested to solve ur problem..... Or u may google it...

what are you looking for? Internet usability using phone as a modem?
I may help u..... I used my K810i using this method.. I'd like to share...

Download pc suite for your k810i......
then download the hardware software... Try to search google or i have the software u need....
U have to download the needed software.. Letting ur phone as a modem to communicate with ur laptop... I've got this scenarios before lol.. But i manage to break it..

AFter download the needed software for ur phone.... U have to configure ur phone .....
Go to ur settings... It is safe ...
GO TO.... Connectivity >>>> USB >>>> USB Internet>>>> now u can use your phone as a modem....

    . . . . . . I hope this may help u....
