Some Opening Ceremony fireworks were faked - Fourth-Place Medal - Olympics - Yahoo! Sports


***For me there's nothing wrong if they faked or simulated the fireworks display if they're thinking of the safety of the spectators.

Anyway, if this happened in the Philippines, then this would be in the front page of Inquirer and other opposition newspapers for an entire one month. And then there will be PGMA bashing, senate and congressional inquiries, etc..etc..

The Opening Ceremony and fireworks were amazing and entertaining...
there is nothing wrong with having some of the fireworks being computer-generated for safety purposes.
Its better to be safe then to be sorry later..

This has to be a first "fake" that is actually safer than the real thing. Made in China pa gyud! So what if it's not real gunpowder as long as it can generate the same effects?

well the chinese invented the fireworks... i think they are also the first to use fake fireworks.

for me theres nothing wrong with the fake one knowing that fireworks causes air pollution, and air quality is a major concern for beijing.
