I tried playing Second Life in an Acer Aspire 4315, but after a couple of minutes the game crashes.
The specs of Acer 4315 are: Intel Celeron 550 (2.0Ghz, 1 MB L2 cache), Intel GMA x3100, 512 DDR2.
The minimum requirements to play Second Life are: 800 MHz Pentium III or Athlon, or better, 512 MB or more memory,* NVIDIA GeForce 2, GeForce 4 MX or better* OR ATI Radeon 8500, 9250 or better* OR Intel 945 chipset.

I thought of upgrading the memory, but what bothers me is, what if it still won't play? So I will just end up shelling out 2K+. But really, do you think the crashing has something to do with the low RAM? or the processor has something to do with it, being just a Celeron 550?

what do you think is the main reason nga mag crash lage ang game 3 to 4 minutes while playing? Is it because kay 512mb lang iyang RAM? Dili tungod kay Celeron lang ang processor?

so, 512mb raman imo ram.. try upgrading it.. since the game requires a minimum of 512mb ram..
hence your GFX is built-in, it's memory is shared from the RAM.. for instance, u have a 512mb RAM, 128mb is shared for the VRAM, you only have an actual of 384mb swappable memory for your OS..

hi! thanks! actually, nag plan jud ko i-up sa2 gig akong RAM, but what keeps me from doing so is basig dili gihapon mu play, so nag kalas-kalas lang ko. Mug UP nalang kog lappie. pero cge, ako na i-UP ako RAM ha. and pag dili gihapon mag work, i-refund ko sa ako magastos. Joke
