    Default Lan Cabling Prob

Guys, need kahayag gamay kay naglibog ko.

    straight:
    orange-white,orange,green-white,blue,blue-white,green,brown-white,brown
    on both ends right?

    cross:
    green-white,green,orange-white,blue,blue-white,orange,brown-white,brown
    and and pikas side kay
    orange-white,orange,green-white,blue,blue-white,green,brown-white,brown
    right?

    BUT......................................
what kind of connection is this
    green-white,green,orange-white,blue,blue-white,orange,brown-white,brown
    on BOTH ENDS.....

im thinking, nasayop kaha ni cya? is he trying to make a straight connection pero nasayop lang sa color?

i tried making a straight config with the correct colors pero di man cya mu work, sayop kaha ko ug crimp?

and connection kay gikan sa globe nga modem router -> firewall

Can someone enlight me when to use straight ug cross? i did understand nga if same device kay cross, not the same kay straight. but kita man ko sa net nga switch to router kay cross, mao nag wonder ko.....

straight gamiton ana bro. Gamit raka cross kung PC to PC. kanang nakitan nimo nga router to switch, karaan guro nga switch ang gigamit. Sauna kung magconnect between switches and routers, cross. Karon murag pwede naman straight.

80 feet is no problem. for a baseT network, the maximum lenght per segment is 100 meters or around 300+ feet...

regarding the color combination of the straight-through cable as long as both ends have the same arrangement, that is still straight.

tingali wala natarung pagcripm nimo.. try testing it using a tester sir para ma test. hehe
