    Wink Dual ISP Redundancy

    Hi Guys - I just need your opinion about this Dual ISP redundancy setup. Am planning to accquire 2 ISP (1 is VSAT and the other one is LEASED LINE) diagram shown below (Please advice if my diagram is wrong)

    ISP1--->Router-----
    |_____
    --->DUAL WAN Router ------FIREWALL----SWITCH
    |------
    ISP2--->Router-----

    My question is, to where I can manage the redundant configuration, is it from the firewall or from the dual WAN router? My objective is if one fail the other one will take over.

    Thanks and ideas are welcome

    Default I can help you with this.

    dara ang clue bro:

    LAN - Gateway - Dual WAN Router - 2 ISP

    LAN = sabotable

    Gateway = you can setup squid as your proxy here
    Gateway = you can also setup your firewall here
    Gateway = dapat 2 NIC 1 for LAN and another to the Load Balancer

    Dual WAN Router = Software-based or Hardware-based ok ra at least 3 NICs

    ISP = any will do

    ang scenario kay workstations are pointing to your gateway always, ang gateway connected sa dual wan router, ang dual wan router ang bahala mo managed asa ka niya pagawson.

    if need more info, pm lang para maka istorya ta og tarong.

    as usual kung imong place duol ra sa amo or workplace, mo agi lang ko dha.

    pwede ra wala na gateway, purpose sa akong gateway is incase SoHo imong setup or internet cafe.

    purpose sa proxy sulod sa gateway, para mas managed pa gyud maayo ang imong bandwidth.

    - Salamat bro pero ingon ani man gud ang case
    - each ISP mu provide sila og ilang kaugalingong internet router with their own configuration.
    - ako firewall is hardware appliance naka high availability setup (juniper to be exact)
    - mao libog ko kung asa nako ibutang karon ang dual wan router
    - probably ako firewall ang mahimong gateway
    - when it comes to proxy naa ko separate server (software appliance using ISA)
    - kung isa lng ka ISP ingon ani ako diagram
    (ISP-->Internet Router-->Firewall-->IPTV/WIFI ZONE/SERVER ZONE)

    Note: from firewall naka split into 3 LAN networks zone
