Exclamation Are banks clueless to Paypal?

I just recently asked my bank if they can receive money from my Paypal account and they drew blanks. Sure they heard of internet banking and stuff but have no idea about Paypal. I'm stumped. I read that you need to to confirm the bank account before transferring, so how am i suppose to know if it was successful when even the customer service have no idea about that? I can't just transfer money and not knowing if my account received it? I think Paypal mentioned that there will a charged fee if the transfer is unsuccessful, so that's 2 things I'm worried about. Talk about online convenience

    Need Help pls!

i think what they mean is charge it back to your account if the transaction is not successful, kay mora raman sad na ug system sa credit card, kon ma bayaran ang merchant out of an invalid nga transaction i charge back raman na nila sa imong account!!!!

No the Philippine banks know it but they ignore it, Paypal send infos & message to Phil Banks. I think most bank dont Activate it( or can received Paypal transactions). Try contact this bank Citibank, PNB (about there international Transactions, like sending or desposit money from US in cheapest rate, & of the Course Philippine Paypal handler Unionbank "but now they are really strict and grabe sad kaayo ma munal sa transactions charges i recommend not ,mo sabot ka sa ilang pangawta . In the Paypal site state transactions to Paypal Phils to bank transfer is FRREEEEEEEEEE. but you know Frakin Country & People.. USELESS!

I guess bank personnel have no idea about Paypal. When you transfer money from Paypal to your bank account or card, the bank's system will be the one to make the necessary deductions/charges if there are any. From my understanding banks do not manually deduct charges, it's their system that does it. So the bank people might not know this whole thing about Paypal unless they were able to handle such issue before.

I don't know how banks work, but I don't think they need to know about Paypal. When you confirm your bank account with Paypal, they just transfer a few cents to your bank account and you just tell PayPal how much they transferred. It works just like any other transfer.
