quad sli is nice but it is CPU bound. maybe late this year naa nai next gen cpu ug mga games na dual core aware.

The purpose of quad SLI is for seamless multi display for multiple monitors. And is an overkill for gaming. Anyway If you use quad SLI for gaming is overkill. two of the four vcs will be used when gaming.
But for multidisplay graphics production, workstation or for multi monitor acting as a single monitor display used in malls or presantation I think quad SLI would better serve its purpose.
