According to Marketing Week, Sony is said to be considering launching a PlayStation phone or PSP Phone that would incorporate elements of the PSP functionality, possibly as soon as Christmas 2009.
Last Friday, SCEA was granted a patent for a hand-held game device with touchscreen and digital tactile pixels. This could an indicative to a PSP Phone.
The device is listed as one of the potential applications, alongside all the other Sony handhelds: phone, portable media player, email device, web browser device or navigation device. What are your thoughts?

PROBABLE FEATURES MIGHT INCLUDE:
The rumor mill is churning, and a specification sheet is floating around highlighting the features of the much anticipated PSP phone. Features include a 4.3" TFT LCD display, built in web browser, video calling, flight mode, 2 MP camera and the ability to rotate the screen to turn the phone into a PSP console. The device apparently weighs 250 grams (10 grams less than the PSP Fat) and has Memory Stick/SanDisk support.
