It has always made me wonder why cameras didn't have bluetooth built in. Bluetooth isnt that hard to implement, it even comes built in some less than 5k phones so I really do no think its a price issue.
Wouldnt it be just great if we could just share photos via bluetooth straight from our DIGICAMS? I could send it directly to my phone, use it as wallpaper, or I could send it directly to my PC, Also, I could just send a photo from my PC/Phone to my digicam as well.
It really makes me wonder why.
There is an alternative solution though, the wifi SD card for digi cams, which allows you to transfer photos to your PC/phone via wifi.

Which is good, but you are limited as of the moment to a 2gig SD card with wifi built in.

some cams got wireless built in now.
mine has IR but can only transfer to selected model from the same manufacturer (at least that's what the manual says).

back when i was using nokia 9210 it came with a camera with irda also...
canon and sony has wifi also...

irsimple feature of the f100 is suppose to be backward compatible with older FIR and SIR protocols so it should work with existing devices since very few have irsimple capability(i dont know of any laptop or cellphone/pda with irda builtin that supports irsimple...most laptops and usb irda are FIR...most cellphones/pda are SIR).
btw, f100 also has irSS features that is less publicized which allows it to connect to compatible kiosk and lcd tv at 4 to 10 times the speed otherwise possible at FIR rate.Last edited by markyap; 06-23-2008 at 02:55 AM.
