output is cleaner with less ripples. also efficiency. usually, the generic psu's can only delivery half of what it says on its label (e.g. 500W = 250 W) for more information read these:

what PSU brands/models can you recommend?

if my specs are these, what PSU rating is best to use?

    AMD Sempron 3000+ 1.6Ghz
    Foxconn Mobo
    1 PCIe Video card

+++ other accesories, HDD, Floppy, Inboard Modem, 4 cooling fans, DVD Drive

with your inputs, i started to doubt that it could be PSU problem that can cause my Display to shut down and hangs up, after a few minutes of gaming.....i already updated softwares such as V card drivers, Chipset drivers, and even updated my BIOS, still the problem persist, now it narrows down to HARDWARE problem na, it could be the MOBOs PCIe slot, or The PSU..i isolated the probability that it is a V card problem, since i let my cousin used my V card for 2 months, wala man blema.....

I would recommend you a Silverstone ST50F or lower wattage for your system specification.
