Default can't connect laptop wirelessly using WPA

    good day guys!

i am trying to setup a wireless network at home with my desktop as my main pc and using WPA encryption. my PSP was able to get connected without problems but my sister's laptop which is an old one can't get connected. it is using a wireless adapter coz it could either be that the wireless card is busted or probably the laptop itself is not wireless ready (not sure).. i had tried switching it over to WEP and this time it was able to get connected. but my concern is that as what i know, WEP is not as secured as WPA right? is it possible that the laptop does not support WPA encryption?

your sister's wi-fi NIC doesn't support WPA... since you said its old.

Consider buying a new linksys wi-fi usb?

ya i knew, but he mentioned earlier if he use WEP encryption, his sister's laptop can connect. additionally, he mentioned that the laptop is old. Based on that, i supposed that the built in wi-fi nic cant support WPA.

WPA came after wep, which is a newer encryption.
