Suggestion: Allow Search Forums and View Today's Posts for Newbies

Would like to suggest that newbies be allowed to Search Forums and also to view Today's Posts.
Just found out that my being a newbie prevents me from accessing these two things. I suggest to enable newbies to access them, or at least to make it clear in the error message if the administrator doesn't want to enable the access. Lisud man gud para sa newbies to be able to contribute helpful posts... kay di ta maka search sa different threads, unya di sad ta kakita ug unsay active threads. As of now, cannot list my own posts pud, kay access denied...

If it has been disabled on purpose ... then there has to be a reason why. Search has been disabled for some time now for newbies and will not change.

A Google Search Box will be added in the future however so users are able to search, albeit with delayed search results.

One of the reasons why newbies are somewhat restricted is because a lot of them just comes and goes... wasting server resources. To minimize that, newbies have to somewhat "earn" the useful features that they want.

OK then. This is your site. I will follow your request to have 30 posts now so that I may at least be able to search the forums.

For me, 30 posts =
for helpful and quality posts without search, about 5 hours
for helpful and quality posts with search, about 3 hours
for posts just intended to increase post count without search, about 1 hour
