Anybody knows a good GPS software for Vista with free maps?

Any1 have any ideas?
lol, why don't you just buy a GPS from garmin or TomTom? Unless of course you want to carry around your PC for GPS ... which kind of takes the point away. Both the gadgets give you free maps.
Hahaha good point, to clarify the matter,
I got a UMPC with built in GPS. Useless in Cebu but can use it when I travel![]()
its the Kohjinsha SR series, or otherwise known as the Vye.
I don't know of any GPS that has free maps of Cebu. What you can try is if any GPS integrates with Google Maps. I believe the next iPhone will have this ability when it is released in July.
I did download google maps but I can seem to find configuration to make it work with the GPS![]()
lol ... hence why I said integrates with Google maps. I don't know the Google Maps API, but I believe it has the ability to get coordinates either by hand or automatically from some piece of software.
Will experiment further and update this thread, I beleive UMPCS are very practical GPS devices also, bigger screens for mounting on the car makes it easier to follow and understand. Still usless in Cebu but in Manila should be very useful already, BMWs alread have GPS devices built in the car in Manila.
Also in Manila not 100% ok, not all streets are properly mapped. Just the main roads are fine.
And Cebu... forget that...
Found one that seems to be promising, I yet have to email them for available asia Maps.
Guess what, its made by Garmin.
