guys ive been wondering im using athlon xp 2400+ na processor and the speed is equivalent to 2.0GHZ but the problem is im decreasing speed to 1.2GHZ it is bec when i turn it to its normal speed 2.0GHZ the temperature wil raised to like 47 to 49 i dont know whats the problem is it the powersupply , heatsink , or the fan of the heatsink,,, because i have only the powersupply of 350watts.

And i am planning to change it to 500watts...is it really need to change the fan heatsink and the heatsink or not?

and i have no problem of fans bec. im just using my electric fan and make it steady at the side of my CPU....and i just open the left side of my CPU facing the FAN

look for a better heatsink and fan

i had this same problem with the Athlon xp1800+
it went so hot that my pc stopped working.... nothing wrong with it... it was overheating protection... once it cools down I can use the pc again....

Brad...problem jud ni sa imong CPU Fan and heatsink...no matter pila pa ka electric fan ang imong ipa-atubang sa imong PC, dili jud muubos ang temp ana sa CPU, sometimes it will even cause the whole machine to receive more heat kay ang hangin nga ginabuga sa electric fan depende sa temp sa sorrounding.

Even a slight rise of temp sa imong CPU will cause drastic drop on your CPU's performance, in your case ang clock speed mugamay jud. Don't bother adding a 500-watt powersupply since dili na siya ang fix or unless ganahan jud ka mu-upgrade...you can also add an auxiliary fan sa imong system para sa cooling.

wew, i thought ang poewrsupply akong ilisan hehe...so aha manta puwede makapalit sa athlonxp 2400+ na heatsink .. so ako jud ilisan kay ang fan sa heatsink, og ang heatsink fan? jud aha manta any suggested place para makapalit ta kanang available.ani nga model?
