Student New Jeepney fare is only P5.25

Yes! you've read it right!!!

I called up the Land Transportation Office ( LTO ) and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board ( LTFRB ) to clarify the issue of how much the new rate of students fare now that the minimum fare is P6.50. They told me that students are only required to pay P5.25. here in Cebu. They computed to me the 20% of P6.50 and the amount is the new minimum fare of student passengers.

All students from elementary, high school and college are entitled for a 20% student fare discount. I just dont know why here in Cebu students are paying too much from what they're required to pay for.
