    Default Mary's 15 Promises

Mary's 15 Promises to Those Who Recite the Holy Rosary
    1) Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive special graces.
    2) I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
    3) The Rosary shall be a powerful weapon against evil; it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
    4) The Rosary will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to desire for eternal things.
    5) The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary shall not perish.
    6) Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries, shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.
    7) Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.
Those who are faithful to reciting the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plenitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.
    9) I shall deliver from Purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
    10) The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven.
11)You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
    12) All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
    13) I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.
    14) All who recite the Rosary are my sons and daughters, and brothers and sisters of my only Son Jesus Christ.
    15) Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.
Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death.
    Amen.

    not to argue with somebody..hehehe..

is mary a God who promises things like this? i know in my heart that she is blessed among women because she was used as an instrument of God to be born on earth...but the thing is, God is a jealous God..He dont want to share his glory to somebody else...and even Jesus, Son of God, He teaches us to pray not in vain repeatition but with words from our heart....what is prayer? most of us will say its communication to God..if we keep on repeating..thats not communication..that is memorization..if your gonna ask me what God has to say bout this...I think God will remove all those promises that this people created using Mary's name...If only there is loneliness in heaven..Mary could've been the most loneliest person...receiving worship not due for her...
    peace y'all...

is your mother just your instrument? or do you love her and respect her? do you not listen to your mother's plea? I know in the end it is you who will decide but your mother can influence you... sample of this is the 1st miracle of Jesus, which clearly states that it was not yet time but Jesus gave in anyway....

Glory to Mary? I do not think so... It is help that we are seeking for... a mediator to the mediator... figuritavly speaking mary is the defence lawyer, jesus is the judge, and his father is the head of the supreme court... naay diay glory ang lawyer?

Who ever said worship Mary? I do not see it in the 1st post.

repetetive or non repetetive prayers dont count if not from he heart... memorization? yes maybe but understanding what you memorize is a different story...

repeating not communication? do you remember when you were little and saying things over and over again to your parents....

    sample:
    "Mommy paliti ko balloon"
    "Mommy paliti ko balloon"
    "Mommy paliti ko balloon"
    "Mommy paliti ko balloon"
    "Mommy paliti ko balloon"
    "Mommy paliti ko balloon..please..."

unsa man diay na dili diay na memorization? dili diay na repetitive? language itself is memorization my dear friend...

speaking against something without depth of research is merely prejudice and ignorance... the rosary iis the meditation of the life of Jesus... from birth till the resurrection...

    peace

    NOTA BENE:

This might offend my Roman Catholic brothers and sisters, esp. those who hold on to the teaching of Mary. So this is my plea to all of you: Please carefully search the Scriptures if this is really Biblical or not. If you accept the Bible as the Word of God, then it will be useful to search whether what we believe are rooted and founded in the very words of God; i.e., the Bible. Otherwise we are blindly following an erroneous teaching.

I believe in Mary, but only within the perimeter the Bible extends to and not beyond. After all, she is a good example of faith and obedience.

...why is it that Mary was considered as God's instrument (in fulfilling His plans and purposes)?

Let us probe why Buknoy said so.

Mary occupies a unique place in biblical history. She conceived Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35). Then, she bore the Messiah. Among women, she is most blessed (Luke 1:42) and all who claim to be Christian acknowledge her as a chosen vessel of God.

...God could have chosen another woman to fulfill His plan and purpose, but because of His grace, God, "highly favoring" (as what Luke tells us) Mary, has chosen her. This is not of Mary's doing but of God's own prerogative and grace.

...by the way, a woman named Jael was also considered "the most blessed among women", in the Old Testament (Judges 5:24).

    ...wow!

The Bible nowhere indicates that Mary can hear our prayers or that she can mediate for us with God. Jesus is our only advocate and mediator in heaven (1 Timothy 2:5). If offered worship, adoration, or prayers, Mary would say the same as the angels: “Worship God!” (See Revelation 19:10; 22:9.) Mary herself sets the example for us, directing her worship, adoration, and praise to God alone: “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me — holy is His name” (Luke 1:46-49).

Sir I urge you to read those verses carefully.

    ...also...

Nowhere in Scripture does Jesus, or anyone else, direct any praise, glory, or adoration towards Mary. Elizabeth, Mary’s relative, praised Mary in Luke 1:42-44, but her praise is based on the blessing of giving birth to the Messiah. It was not based on any inherent glory in Mary.

....prayer is simply communicating. It is talking to somebody. What would you think your wife (in case you are married) or your girlfriend (if you are Single and has one) would feel and think if you keep on babbling the same set of words?

We all have needs, that's why we pray to God. Don't you think it will be more sensible to tell Him what are those needs (specifically) rather than telling God the same set of words over and over again? What is your purpose why you even pray?

Unless you see those set of memorized phrases as some kind of "Magic Words" in order to get the attention of the one you are addressing your prayer, and in this case, God...then there will an issue.

...Cite your references then. Nowhere can you find any verse in the Bible that say "the rosary is the meditation of the life of Jesus... from birth till the resurrection..."

No offense Sir but have you had any "depth of research" by the way?

    ...just some thoughts...

    Peace be with you

with all due respect to Mary...
how can you call the person as a lawyer? i understand your point human as i am...that i will give in to my mother's request..but bro, there is no passage in the bible that Jesus, nor Paul, nor Peter tells us to make Mary as our mediator to the mediator...because if its the case, there is no need fro Jesus to die in the cross...
    kindly check this passage bro:
    1 Tim. 2:1-7

“5For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.” 1 Tim. 2:5-6

    regarding your statement:
repeating not communication? do you remember when you were little and saying things over and over again to your parents....

    sample:
    "Mommy paliti ko balloon"
    "Mommy paliti ko balloon"
    "Mommy paliti ko balloon"
    "Mommy paliti ko balloon"
    "Mommy paliti ko balloon"
    "Mommy paliti ko balloon..please..."
unsa man diay na dili diay na memorization? dili diay na repetitive? language itself is memorization my dear friend..."

In Matthew 6:7, and continue with the next verse..kindly check the verse bro...when i did my confession last 2 yrs ago, i adv by the priest to do 10 hail Mary and 10 amay namo..so that my sins will be forgiven..Will God accept my apologies by repeating them again and again..i dont think so bro...if you are saying that language itself is memorization..i hope that you will agree with me that you are not repeating what your saying all the time? because language for me is used for communication so that you will understand each other..Now tell me, even if your heart is saying LOrd, Forgive me, but your mouth is saying Hail Mary, human as i am, I will not know that you want me to do, you will perhaps say, God looks at the heart, ur right, but God wants you to tell him what you have in your heart, what is it you want not by uttering the same words all the time but by saying Lord, i am so sorry...Jesus, went down to earth, to be human, to feel what we feel, to know what hunger means, to feel the pain, he suffered in our behalf, and when Jesus prayed when he was about to be crucified, he prayed to the Father, he didnt repeated his prayer all over again and again..We all say we should live a christ -llike life...should we follow patterns created by humans? or we should folow Jesus as hehas given us the example on how to pray?

Now regarding the wedding in Cana, when Mary told Jesus that there is no more wine..did she do the same thing? did she repeated the request all over agan? again and again? nope ..she didnt..

let me share what i have learned in this passage...

It is the general concensus that the "time" to which Jesus refers is the period of his miracles and ministry. He had only just called his disciples and had not yet begun performing miracles as proof of his divinity. Yet at Mary's faith and insistance, he began his miracles before his teaching.

Wait a second, if Mary were truly expecting a miracle, why would she think Jesus needed any helpers? This sounds more like a mother who knew she could trust her son with the responsibility of going to the winery and getting more wine.

But if that's the case, why would Jesus answer with "My time has not yet come?" His time to go to the winery? Certainly the concensus seems more likely than that.

But then, his answer is still bothersome. If he knew his time to perform miracles had not yet come, why did he heed Mary's request over God's plan? No, this cannot be right, the start of his miracles is not the right "time".

Jesus was asked to provide wine for a wedding feast. Why would he say "My time has not yet come?"

He came into this world to provide the wine for the wedding feast, not at Cana, but for his marriage to his bride, the church. And not just to provide the wine, he came to be the wine, to offer his own blood as the wine for that feast.

No his time certainly had not come at the wedding in Cana. But when his time did come, it began in the same way as this chapter, "On the third day a wedding took place. not in cana but at the empty tomb...

    bro, peace...
