what is the cheapest brandnew laptop in the market today that has complete features and good local support and warranty?

preferably faster than a celeron processor.

i am going to give it to the sales reps of my company for product demos so it has to be durable too.

thanks for your suggestion potterboy but i was thinking of a "more" branded laptop. such as compaq, sony, ibm, dell, toshiba, asus, etc.

basta complete features, durable and good local after-service.

i've got a similar unit ready to be shipped to Cebu that has the same specs except for the hard drive(30gb) and memory 512mb(2x256). if you want a demo for this unit, Dell Inspiron 600m, pls call 2324721 and look for cedrico. if you're interested we'll discuss the price of the said unit before i ship it to Cebu. or we can discuss the price for the available system if you like. i'm a very reasonable guy to deal with. thanks.

Enticing but honestly the reviews for this model and Dell in general by customers and end-users is poor.Â* Secondly, MDR has equally poor service, so I've heard. I also assume they will have problems with component, peripherals and parts availability if they are not really the authorized service center.Â* Lastly, Dell has poor customer service.

It probably would be like Deja Vu when I had a Compaq laptop and an Acer desktop. Honestly, I cannot afford the risk. Probably they are good in the states in terms of parts and support.

So far the best branded computer that has good service, parts availability and wide technical support is IBM but it's too expensive of a laptop to give my 5 account executives.
