our family has a small bangus fishpond. around 3.3 hectares watered.

depending on how deep your pockets are... you can either go to low density stocking or high density stocking.
if low density... then you need to have a big area. like .5 ha. ponds.
if high density... you can have smaller ponds but it must be deep. optimal depth should be 1m.

    basta ang rule of thumb...

in low density stocking... 1:1 1 fish per square meter
in high density stocking... you can go up to 3:1. but we only stock then 2.2:1.

high density stocking requires aerators and feeding. this is more capital intensive. a very big downside.

always go with the high end fish.....

the market for bangus, tilapia is very saturated already... the price would go down below the production cost....

how about RAS? (Recirculating Aquaculture Systems), murag ideal for backyard business, high end species like sea bass, prawns and shrimps . . . .downside lang ani ata is mahal ang capital investment and depending on the technology used, it would be around 1.5 - 2 years ROI . . . share sa katong naa nay ingon ani nga negosyo sa sugbo....
