Ever heard of Samal , Kaputian and Talicud Islands?

Ever heard of Samal Island Garden City of Samal? (is this correct? )
it's a great Island, not widely known, but undeniably beautiful, with it's white sand beaches, waterfalls and all...
iuban napud nato ang Talicud island, Kaputian island...
a few minutes away (Samal-10-15mins, Talicud-45mins, Kaputian-maybe about an hour perhaps?) from Davao, this is one great getaway, an undiscovered paradise. I am not from this area pero I hope people will come to know how beautiful it is.

this is a brief description of Samal:

Just a short ferry ride south of Davao City, in the Davao Gulf, is the island of Samal, part of an archipelago of islets that offer a getaway from city life and some adventure activities. The island offers fabulous sunrises and sunsets and a fascinating topography of rolling hills, white sandy beaches and dozens of caves, which are popular with spelunkers and hikers. The coastline has the usual coconut palms, mangrove swamps and coral reefs, together with some little fishing villages, washed by clear, clean water: all the delights of a tropical island within a stone's throw of the city.

ive been to Samal Island about 15 years ago. i love to go back though i dont know much about Davao. i was just a visitor they have this mini-zoo...

anyway, the beach was great! absolutely, great!

Talikud and Samal are both great! Never been to Kaputian though.

Last February 12, we celebrated my sister's birthday at Isla Reta which is located at Talikud. Bago lang ko nagpaderma and the doctor advised me not to take a dip. Anyway, nagbaon nalang pud ko stuff in case. Sus! Pagkakita nako sa tubig-wa na gyud ko kaauntus! Really really nice. Ang sand murag polvoron ka pino! Promise. Pero naa sad parts na naay mga bato. You can bring baon if you want and corkage for softdrinks ra.

Mga 10 years ago naka-overnight nako sa Pearl Farm located in Samal. Wow ang lugar, wow sad ang presyo! Hahaha! Hubas ang singot ni Papa. Anyway, cool sad didto naay infinity pool, lami ang kaon, guapo ang view, etc. No baon allowed here.

Mga 1997 sad, nakasuroy ko so Samal Casino Island Resort before it closed down. Ekran Berhad, a Malaysian firm, invested in it pero gisiradan kay nagubot man tong mga MILF. Sumuka gyud oi! Dako to na property mga 250 hectares daw. Sayang kaayo na nga resort ba guapo baya.

Last year na Father's day, we went to Chema's, also in Samal. Guapo sad pero its just small. Bali-inspired ang architecture. You need reservations before you go. No baon allowed too except for chichiriya. They have this restaurant up there.

Paradise Island is at Samal pud. Guapo man siya pero I'm not the type na hilig ug beach na daghan kaayo tao. Too commercial for me.

There are still lots of places to discover there. Naa daw Coral gardens, Angel's cove, Babusanta, etc.

My next project would be Babusanta siguro or siguro sa Talikud kay wa pa ko kaabot didto.

i'll b in dvo this may... how long should my leave be to see these sights? attend ko seminar fo 3 days, was planning to stay for a week. di na ko kaadto sa islands noh?

I suggest sa talicud na lang ka kay mas daghan gwapo na beaches dito. Few minutes away from Davao ra man na...

hala wala baya ko kbalo/katuod unsa mga resorts sa Talicud, stay ka na lang a PEarl farm sa Samal tapos mag tabok na lang mo sa talicud kung mag beach mo didto.

Ay di gyud ko kabalo magpost ug pic!!! Samuka oi! Anyway, sa Isla Reta Beach which is located in Talicud naa silay overnight murag 600. Ang uban gatent-tent sila. Pero inato ra ni nga resort with a beautiful beach.

Kung sosi-sosi imo triping kanang mga thousands na level, you can stay at Pearl Farm pero sa Samal na siya. Ga-atbang raman ng Talicud ug Samal. Pwede gani languyon kung maglagot...

Sa Paradise pud pwede sad mag-overnight. I can inquire for the rates if you want.
