coat chicken with egg whites ( ayaw apila yolk kay mag basa) ...

mix all purpose flour....cayenne pepper ...garlic salt....bread crumbs....toasted sesame seeds..

(ang pag toast sa sesame seeds i pan fry lang kadali aron mogawas ang nutty flavor)

dip the chicken coated with egg to the flour mixture....then fry ( ako i bake man nako)...

kaw na lang bahal sa proportions...

mas lami buy ka thai sauce ( sweet / chili ) for dipping later...

@Gwynhuever ........ AFAIK ... you should always dredge in flour any meat na prituhonon before egg washing it .

SImple ra ang akong steps in making SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN and you only need 3 main ingredients . FLOUR , EGG WASH and BREAD CRUMBS .

It depends on how you wanted the taste of the chicken pero my preference is more of Cajun and spicy style .

    1. First step is FLOUR . Mix in the spices and herbs you wanted for your prefered flavor but to my preference I use garlic , salt , pepper , spanish paprika .

    2. Second step is EGG WASH . Its ok to include the yolk , it will help make the color golden brown . Mix 1 part of milk to 2 parts of eggs .

3.Third step is the BREAD CRUMBS . You can buy it readily in the groceries or you can make one ur own but make sure that the crumbs have the same grade. Walay gagmay and dagko .

Just dredge the chicken in the flour making sure to cover all parts and make sure also to shake it to remove excess flour . Dip the dredged chicken in the egg wash and same procedure of the flour . ROll the egg washed chicken in the bread crumbs and same steps to the flour and egg wash to remove the excess ingredients . Now you are ready to deep fry them in a skillet or a fryer .

TIP - when the smaller parts are done already like the wings and legs .... remove also the bigger ones like the thighs and breast and cook them all the way in the oven . Proper temps should be 160 degrees F and above for the chicken . Happey chow !

Here is my simple way also on how to cook fried chicken..Just mix enough garlic and little salt..Be sure to mix it well and then put flour and fry.

@ Gwynhuev, Kalimot naman ko unsa ratio and proportion sa water and flour ani. Wala koy recipe karon diri unya dugay napod ko wala ka himo ani. Basta sekrito ra anang sipoao and imohang i fillings kay homba.

Here`s on how to make homba:

Pork, little salt, little water,Little soy souce, enough garlic..Lat-i una siya aron mahumok ang pork..Cge lang mix aron dili ma pagod ang baboy. If mamumok na ang baboy add little water then boiled again. Human, butangi ug union leaves then boiled napod balik. Next steps kay add little vinegar unya boiled napod hangtod mawala ang smell sa vinegar then taste it..If sakto na sa imong pang lasa mao nana siya..If ganahan ka tam-is gamay add little sugar..

Heat oil, make sure na init na sha. If you think the oil is hot enough, dredge chicken in all purpose flour. Â*I tried dredging it in all sorts of flour and so far all purpose is the best for me.

Be sure to dredge in flour just before frying kay if you let it stand lahi ang mugawas.
