Yeah, we're talking about ultraportables here, so the screen size should be at least smaller than 12".Â* Anyway, you can always get big power-packed laptops that defeats the mobility factor.Â* I do have a 17" media edition laptop, but, the size and the weight doesn't appeal anymore for people who value portability.Â* I do like the sony line of ultraportables, but none of them has offered yet the tablet mode capability, and I don't know why.Â* If they make one in the near future, I'll be among the first ones who will try it, definitely.Â* On the other hand, sometimes, you see people in hot zones or hot spots, parading their laptops, but you can always discount them as the not-so-portable kind.Â* You know what I'm saying?Â*
In this fast-paced world mobility counts.Â* Ultraportability is even better.Â* Â* Thanks for sharing.

Let us count out pocket PCs from ultraportables.Â* They don't offer as much functionality and flexibility as a typical small-sized laptop.Â* They are small, yet they are not that powerful.Â* I'm imagining more of a device that you can bounce around like a regular laptop but with functions that are more like of a regular PC.Â* 624MHz is too slow if you talk about real pc applications.Â* You know what I'm saying? In fact, I have an ASUS MYPAL pocket pc, blue-tooth enabled, with wireless capability, and with SD and CF card slots, but it is but just "chump change" compared to the capability of a small-sized notebook.

I have an MSI Megabook S270. It has the works in specs too. Its not the best, flimsy keyboard and buttons on touchpad, and no built in mic and webcam, aside from that its got everything I need

I think the best ultra portables in laptop category are Sony & fujitsu. Fujitsu being the only laptop left being manufactured in Japan.

Have you seend the OQO tablet PalmTop with Xp Tablet OS? Thats something too
