Image above are two different lenses (left-Sigma 18-200 DC OS and on the right-70-200 2.8L Canon)...took this shot on the same position with the same focal length (200mm) with different TV and ISO settings...My question, ngano di man the same size ang bantay bata can nga same focal length man unta...please enlighten me...thanks

Here is my theory sir and sigma DC designed for digital - maybe gi design nila to give the actual focal length without the 1.6x crop? I don't know but if that is the case mas maau ang sigma. lol.

I did the same experiment with Nikon's Nikkor 80-200 f2.8 and 18-200 VR at 200mm. I has similar results.

na meaning somethings wrong with the lens either the sigma or the canon...or basin sayop lang akong set-up whew...

Crash, sa price difference palang layo ra kaau ang sigma so expected na gyud na ang output is not the same...hehe ang ako lang is the framing ngano layo ang sigma compare to canon...meaning di gyud na 200mm ang sigma?

I did the same experiment with Nikon's Nikkor 80-200 f2.8 and 18-200 VR at 200mm. I has similar results.

Ok here:

Test are done with two Nikkor lens, 18-200 VR and the 80-200 F2.8. Both are attach to Nikon D80 mounted
to a tripod. Sample picture below are both shot at 200mm. Results are the same as yatakitumbi's.

Guys Simple answer the Nikon 18-200 VR is Wide-telephote
while the Nikon 80-200 f2.8 is a telephoto lens ( meaning its a dedicated lens for telephotography )
