im not an expert in computers.. i know this is kinda simple for most of you guys but i just don't know how to do it..


here goes.. i live with 3 other guys in my apartment.. the cable guy had my friend's laptop connected to the internet (wireless network, and he lives in the room next to me) but not mine. i have a desktop computer. now my question is, how do i connect my computer to her laptop (wireless) so i could get internet too? what are the equipments that i need to buy?

I'll just answer the question though the subject is CAPITALIZED but kindly change it afterwards.
First of all its not his computer/laptop who has the source of the internet connection. Reading from your post I assume that there is a router present reponsible for wireless connection broadcast. So you can either buy an airborne device compatible to the router your room mate has to take advantage of the wireless internet or you can just connect via your friends laptop on peer to peer connection.
