Carol Banawa auditioned on American Idol Season 5.
You can see her on its 6th episode.

there are lot of speculations.

one is, she didnt make it because she sang "Tanging Yaman" in front of Rudy, Paula, and Simon.

another is, she didnt make it because she had been in the recording industry already.

this one, i hope its true, she made it to the top 24 but have been advised to finish her commitment here in the Philippines first. she has an existing contract with Star Records which was suspended when she left the country. thats why we saw her in TV guestings lately. she is set to fly back to America this month.

lets keep our fingers crossed.
