mga bro, unsa saon man nako ni pag-sulti para maka g mo?

if i have a dual mem channel mobo, syempre ako jud na butagan og 2 mem modules, example i used 2 512mb ddr. nya plan ko mag-upgrade, so mag-add ko 2 pcs 1GB modules and i will install it to the remaining slots. my question is, puydi bana? naka 2 pcs 512mb ang ako old setup nya ako i-add kay 2 pcs 1GB. dili ba ma-disable ang dual channel mode ani or unsa ba? lahi man gud og size ang sticks. consider same brand & model.

i think you need to have 2 or 4 identical memory modules to enable dual channel.

Try to Read or Google your Mainboard Manuals/Specs on Memory configurations.

This were common Dual Channel Memory configurations:

1. Dual channel configurations install only "identical" (the same type and size) DDR Dimm pairs for each channel.
2. Install Dimms w/ same CAS latency.
3. Install same Sides of Dimms. like 4 Single Sided Dimms or 4 Double Sided Dimms (be aware not all Mobo support dual channel in Double Sided x 16 Modules deffend on MainBoard)

so puydi jud diay 2 pcs 512mb same model, brand etc.. and 2 pcs 1GB same model etc..? a total og 3GB memory..


actually im plannign to change my mobo to dual channel. ask lang ko advice coz maybe ako gamiton ako old mem module.

dili na na siya pwede nga i-sapaw nimo ang duha ka 2pcs 1gb nga ram, kay naa na man 2pcs nga 512mb. kinahanglan kuhaon sa nimo imo 1gb nga 2x512mb nga ram, dayon ipuli nimo ang 2gb nga 2x1gb ram. kung gusto ka, buy nalang ug single nga 1gb ram, i-taod sa first slot, unya kung ganahan ka mag-upgrade to 2gb, buy nalang ug additional identical nga 1gb ram para itaod nimo sa 2nd slot... then you will have dual channel 2gb of ram.

bay, ok raman na ang usa ka ram nako kay 256DDR266 then mo add ko lain na ram na 128DDR333 sa?
