Default New Technology to forge Captain Kuchiki Byakuya's Senbonzakura

Well, this is not really a new state-of-the-art technology. Merely a thing that we had conceptualized. The concept that we have now is still at its prototype stage of development and is still currently for cosplay purposes. Its nature as of the moment could not slice you up with just the Senbonzakura pieces passing through you, it will just merely dance in the air. This concept was thought over and over carefully with the help of several former-magician-turned-cosplayer members in our group.

The output would have the solid sword literally scatter when the Byakuya Cosplayer says "Chire, Senbonzakura (Scatter, thousand cherry blossoms). Depending on the number of divisions, the blade (cosplay sword) would scatter into thin slices of pink petals that resemble the Sakura leaves in Japan. Truly, it would look like Senbonzakura in Bleach.

We still have some minor adjustments to make as the scattering does not permit the pink blades to come back at will.

I just posted this to gather opinions from you guys, and I was also hoping that I might be able to catch some people here who might have already been able to build one so that you guys could also help developing the concept. As of the moment, we aren't yet posting how it's done as not to create bias when you guys do the thinking. Please do post any nice suggestions that you may have in mind, if any.

Hoping for this subject to spark something in your imagination.

Well, i haven't tried making an invention like that. Nor i know anyone with a similar cosplay sword or concept.
But that is a great invention, i must say!
uhm, pwede ask if kbaw mo asa makakuha ug swords pareho sa bleach? For cosplay purposes ra..
I saw a tutorial somewhere na nag use ug wood for the swords. Hmm.. i might try that if i can ask my friends to help me make one xD.

Kuchiki Byakuya is actually a "6th division Captain" "* タイチョ". Check our posts in other threads about forging japanese anime inspired swords (real and cutting edge).

i mentioned the 12th division since you/your group are inventing/creating/innovating stuff for cosplays.. xD
rofl. As a Bleach fan, i know the 13 divisions and i know Byakuya's in the 6th div, not the 12th xD. (no offense, though.)
12th = inventors/scientists/researchers division xD. Mura mo taga 12th div gud.. xD
Ok, i'll try to check your other posts/threads ^_^

And i think dili gay ang sakura petals.. i think it matched byakuya's personality. Royalty, traditional..
ambot, gi bagayan lng ko sa sakura petals niya.. =P

Hmm, I wonder if it is anything like the card tearing/binding magic trick. Interesting stuff nonetheless.

It was actually explained (I think) that the reflections of light make the tiny blades look bright WHITE according to manga faithfuls. But since the description of the manga about Senbonzakura's shikai is that it looks like cherry blossoms, maybe the anime interpreted it to look PINK.

    Real men wear/use pink!!

Ah, bright white.. x_x tsk, i stopped reading the manga when the anime started.. and then followed the manga again during the filler arcs.. (layu au gap xD).

I don't know what sort of trick you guys are going to use to pull that off, but it'd be truly awesome if you guys are able to do this trick on an actual cosplay event, successfully. Given that you're able to implement this concept perfectly, in terms of the petal's behavior. If it'll actually mimic the original Senbon Sakura from the anime.

Since you mentioned technology, I'm just dead curious what's behind this particular trick. I mean how do you even make a sword scatter into thousands of pieces and make the pieces float xD
